From Student Blogger, Daniel: Spring Break

The spring break time of the semester has rolled around once again and it is the time to relax and re-center myself for the rest of the semester. There’s something about having the room to myself and seeing campus empty that’s a surreal experience. This has been my third spring break and the third straight year where I’ve found myself in my dorm watching comedy and sleeping. Most of my friends hopped on a flight to Mexico, Miami or Trinidad; so while they are on the beach having fun, I’m in New York battling the wind, rain and snow. Read more

It is so much fun at the beginning, but the low temperatures and slippery surfaces become really annoying after five months. Read more

Universities instruct students in order to prepare them to go out to the market through a stressful, time consuming, and expensive process called education. It doesn’t sound so pleasant when one thinks about it in that way, but the higher education is required for one’s personal improvement. Meet Our New Student Blogger, Daniel!

As the setting sun paints the New York sky with the most beautiful of pinks, oranges and violets, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement in the metropolis that is Manhattan. As the streets lights flicker on, the sun disappears from the horizon and the pinks and violets are replaced by the glow of lights from the sky scrapers. As I stand in Time Square, it hits me: here I am, small town boy ready to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Read more
