Give Yourself Time
Finding the right flow towards your personal growth. No pressure. Be kind to yourself.
Hey you! I’m not going to ask how 2022 is starting, but I would love to know whether the year is promising, okay hold it, I think it’s too early right?
Did you have your new year resolutions, how many things have you planned to work on? Maybe a lot or just a few? Regardless of the quantity or number they are yours after all and nobody’s so let me say or make a request, GIVE YOURSELF TIME.
Give Yourself Time
This may mean putting your plans on a priority list of urgency, importance, interest, and even cost. Whichever order, they’re your plans — do it your way. Planning out your work and having a to-do list allows you to work within a favorable time frame and also with a flexible schedule. It allows you work on a thing at a time and still make time for emergencies and review. This also allows you work with a flow since you have created a pattern with which you are guided; I think it keeps you focused and balances your energy. Ironically, I am not as organized as I may sound, but I admire people who are, and believe me, my kid sister and mother are such people, even a couple of friends.
Amongst the many things we have listed to achieve within this year some are of urgency, passion, interest, choices and options. If everyone is like me then, I would be more focused on one main thing throughout the year. Wait, don’t get me wrong. I would do other things like eating and sleeping, just kidding. I mean I would do other things as well, but 2022 may be my year of saving (I hope so), therefore I would work really hard towards saving in every possible way.
Give Yourself Time
Do you have a main target for the year? What is it? If you know it — yay! — work on it. It is like knowing your purpose and living for it. I will say it is doing your very best to get it done. Just like the first point mentioned, focusing on one thing at a time is really helpful but this time you give more attention to a priority which has high expectations. For instance, my saving year example I gave, in this case I would set a target to save at least $500 by the end of the year. It will be hard due to some responsibilities I have; yet, I must achieve it. This way I will find all ways possible to cut down spending in order to save more. Possibly, find other ways to make more money.
All I am trying to spell out is for us to pick one goal out of the lot and give it a 70% attention.
Who else believes this, thinks that growth is important for our achievements and capabilities? I think that you are where you are right now because that is where you are supposed to be.
Give Yourself Time
Just as time works the magic of healing, so does it do for us becoming who and what we want to be. I used to brood over how little I have achieved in life compared to other people. I mean at a certain age one should have achieve certain things rather not lagging behind, most especially when your colleagues are doing better in their fields. Has anyone felt this way before? You beat yourself up and stress out when the world seems to be moving at a rather faster pace than you are.
Look back at who you were and what you could do, are you better? Who you are now and your capabilities go in tandom with each other, they complement each as a we grow. I put it to you that, you are where you are because that’s where you belong. If not, I dare you to over-do yourself, let's see what happens.
Give yourself time,
It’s yours after all.
Give yourself time,
Do not hurry when lagging.
Give yourself time,
You get the shames alone.
Give yourself time,
So, do you enjoy the shines alone.
Give yourself time,
The world keeps moving anyway.
Don’t mind my unrhyming poem or whatever you prefer to call it, I am just reiterating to give yourself time. I know we all including myself some point in time pressurize and push ourselves to get things done. If the loss is and won’t be huge and severe then, take your time and shine. You matter, and hey your efforts would only be recognized when you survive after winning. Make sure you survive anyway, that’s how you can give it another shot.
