According to their website this not-for-profit organization, which was founded in 2003, uses a combination of research indicators and opinion-based surveys to compile their annual list. Among the U.S. schools that made this year's list: University of California, Berkeley Yale University University of Pennsylvania University of California, Los Angeles University of California, San Diego University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign University of Texas, Austin University of Washington, Seattle Rutgers University University of Minnesota Ohio State University University of Florida University of California, Irvine Arizona State University University of Arizona Indiana University State University of New York, Stony Brook Rice University Georgia Institute of Technology If you're wondering which U.S. school will fit your budget, The Fiske Guide to Colleges: Best Buys of 2014 list has just been released. The Fiske Guide, which was founded by Edward B. Fiske, has been around for over 25 years. Mr. Fiske served as the education editor of The New York Times for 17 years. Every year he compiles this college guide which is only available in book form. The Fiske Guide to Colleges is written primarily for students from the U.S., Great Britain and Canada but from a cost-of-tuition perspective it can be useful to international students.
