Teachers in the Minnesota English Language Program (MELP) are dedicated and experienced professionals. Intensive English Program
The Intensive English Program is for students who need to improve their English skills in preparation for study at a university or college, and for those who wish to prepare for the TOEFL.
The Intensive English Program has two 15-week sessions of English study during the school year. Fall semester goes from early September through mid-December. Spring semester goes from mid-January through early May. We offer a seven-week program in the summer, from late June through mid-August.
We offer four levels of English study. Students take 25 hours of classes a week, including grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening. Sample schedules and costs for each session are included on our website at www.ccaps.umn.edu/IEP.
