Marymount students live and learn in one of the world's most exciting and influential cities, having many opportunities for leadership and service within a diverse academic community. Since 1950, Marymount has been committed to providing a purposeful experience that provides as much adventure as it does challenge. Living just minutes from Washington D.C., students will have a front row seat to seeing history in the making as well as the opportunity to experience world-class arts, culture, and entertainment. Coupled with intimate classes and incredible personal attention, students will be able to enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind experience at Marymount University!

Academic Programs

Marymount University offers over 20 undergraduate and graduate degrees through the Schools of Design, Arts, Humanities, Business and Technology, Sciences, Mathematics, Education, and the Malek School of Health Professions. Building on their commitment to not only learn but live with purpose, Marymount blends theory with hands-on learning. To help prepare students for a career, all undergraduate students are required to complete an internship, clinical experience, student-teaching placement, or research project. Certain graduate programs also require experiential learning components.

Marymount University is a learning community 100 percent linked to the real world. The Washington, D.C. region offers unparalleled internship opportunities, from Capitol Hill and the Smithsonian to the National Institutes for Health. Internships and experiential learning strengthen knowledge, test career interests, and provide valuable professional connections that can lead to employment opportunities.
