LLM in Global Sports Law & MSc in Sports Management: ISDE & Columbia Companion Program

ISDE & Columbia University have launched a new Companion Degree Program for students and professionals wanting to pursue a career in Sports Law or Sports Management.

Students will study on Columbia University campus in Manhattan and will graduate with both a Master of Science in Sports Management and an LLM in Global Sports Law and take a 4-6 month internship with a sporting organization in the USA, Europe or elsewhere.

This program combines Columbia’s leading faculty and partnering lecturers such as Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman with ISDEs renowned international Sports Law faculty composed of the senior partners, managers, agents and subject experts currently working in the world of sports law.

Columbia’s highly focused Masters course will focus on core subject matter of business, finance and marketing as well as digital sports and sports analytics all in a global context.

There is no higher ranked University in the world that offers an MSc in Sports Management and throughout the year there will be several industry events held for students to network with sports industry leaders. 

At the same time students will learn about the world of sports law in an international context with a focus on key areas such as Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property in Sport from ISDE’s renowned faculty. These subject experts will come from some of the biggest organizations in the sporting world including CAS, FIFA, NCAA, NFL and a variety of football, basketball and soccer teams.

Graduates will complete the course with 2 Masters degrees from an Ivy League university and from Europe’s leading private law school as well as getting invaluable work experience where they will have the chance to impress potential employers and secure full time employment in their chosen field.
