NORTHAMPTON
Northampton is a vibrant New England town, only a few hours from Boston and New York City. Fourteen colleges and universities contribute to the rich cultural atmosphere of the area, commonly called the Pioneer Valley. Northampton has all the cultural, business, and educational amenities of an urban area surrounded by a beautiful, rural landscape with incredible recreational opportunities.
CURRICULUM
ILI's Intensive English Program is based on a student-centered curriculum that focuses on getting students to use English in a meaningful way. This approach works well for academic, business and practical purposes. Using a communicative grammar approach, language is made real and immediately usable outside the classroom. ILI’s classes are different from the typical traditional way of teaching. Instead, you will see students speaking much more in integrated (listening, speaking, reading and writing) lessons. Thirty years of teaching languages and training teachers has proven that this highly interactive style of teaching produces the best results for students.
A variety of internet and software resources provide students with the opportunity to reinforce language learning through self-study, listening, and repetition.
