Students are given the opportunity transfer to top universities in Illinois and the United States and enjoy the benefit of discounted tuition rates and guaranteed admission agreements.

Moraine Valley Community College is a 2-year institution. We offer Associates in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.), and Associate in Science (A.S.) transfer degree programs for students who want to earn a bachelor’s degree. Students complete the first two years -- or approximately 62 to 65 credit hours -- of a bachelor’s degree at Moraine Valley and then transfer to a 4-year institution to continue their studies in the specific areas of their major.

The Associate in Science (A.S.) program is for students who plan to major in a science-related discipline such as  biology, chemistry, computer science, dentistry, engineering, geology, mathematics, medicine, medical technology, nursing, pharmacology, occupational and physical therapy, physics and veterinary medicine.

The Associate in Arts (A.A.) and (A.F.A.) programs are for students who plan to major in disciplines such as art, business, criminal justice, education, English, foreign language, geography, history, law, music, philosophy, physical education, political science, psychology, sociology, social work, speech and theater.

Moraine Valley also offers an Intensive English Language Program (IELP) for students who do not meet English language requirements for academic programs. Students can utilize the training as a stand-alone program, or they can transfer into an academic program after completing the coursework.
