Awards and Recognitions

U.S. News & World Report ranks Rowan University 19th of Northern Regional Universities and third among the public institutions in the category. The College of Engineering is ranked 32nd nationally among master’s level programs and the Chemical Engineering program is ranked third.

The Princeton Review included Rowan in its latest edition “The Best Northeastern Colleges” and included the Rohrer College of Business in its edition of the “Best 295 Business Schools” from among more than 1,800 business schools.

The University has received 13 awards for green initiatives since 2007. Most recently, the U.S. EPA named the University a “Top Green Power Purchaser” in its athletic conference and The Princeton Review listed it in its “Guide to 322 Green Colleges.”

The Rowan community is a vibrant one, with students pursuing fulfillment through participation in wide-ranging opportunities. Our student-centered approach promotes the education of the whole person within a global society, helping students prepare for life after Rowan.

Rowan features eight residence halls and five apartment communities nestled among the trees of a 200-acre campus in historic Glassboro, New Jersey. Students who live on campus benefit from facilities and resources that support students’ success as they transition to living independently. Research and experience tells us that students who live on campus participate more in student organizations, are more likely to complete a degree in four years and earn higher GPAs.

On-campus dining offers convenience and flexibility for the entire Rowan community, not just on-campus residents. Rowan University Dining provides a variety of delicious options at 11 locations across campus. Students and faculty can buy meal plans that fit their needs each semester.
