Our strong emphasis on the liberal arts – the arts, humanities, natural, and social sciences – will help you become an expert at learning. When life throws a problem at you with no clear-cut solution, you’ll have the edge you need to be successful.

With countless opportunities to learn, explore and strengthen the skills you care about most, as well as the benefits that come from small class sizes, excellent faculty and a tightly-knit community that cares, UNC Pembroke students get a unique opportunity to make a name for themselves here.

Our faculty and staff are some of the best you’ll find anywhere. With nearly 60 percent of our instructors holding at least a Ph.D., they’re an incredibly knowledgeable group of teaching professionals and are truly willing go the extra mile to make sure their students are successful. Nearly half of our classes have fewer than 20 students. Classes aren’t held in massive auditoriums, allowing students to find the personal attention they need to truly build on and master the concepts key to their success.

UNC Pembroke calls the small town of Pembroke, N.C., home. It’s a welcoming community that cares about you and ultimately wants to help you meet your goals in life. That sentiment is echoed by our own students, faculty and an administration that wakes up every morning striving to achieve success. You’ll have all the support you need to thrive at UNC Pembroke.

UNC Pembroke has a vibrant and diverse campus, and it truly shows in the opportunities available to our students. We have more than 80 student organizations and a student body made up of a wide range of cultures and ethnicities.
