Founded in 1885, the University of Arizona has been educating high-achieving students for over 100 years at the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degree level. International students can choose from over 300 undergraduate and 200 graduate fields of study ranging from health sciences, engineering, business, communication and so much more.

Campus Housing

Stepping onto the UArizona campus is like entering its own city. Students will find 5 libraries, a planetarium, multiple museums, restaurants, and 23 dormitories from which they can choose. Student Involvement 

UArizona offers over 600 student clubs and organizations where students can create community, share academic interests, and explore hobbies. Whether you are interested in government, sports, entrepreneurship or skiing, you’ll find your place in a campus club.

Beyond clubs and organizations, the University of Arizona has an extensive Greek network with over 50 Greek Life organizations focused on friendship, leadership and volunteering.

Finally, many students find a campus job is the perfect way to build their skills and earn money during their studies. With over 10,000 campus work opportunities, international students can easily find a job or research opportunity on campus.

 

Location

The University of Arizona is located in a sunny, laid-back College Town called Tucson. Tucson is located in the Southwest United States and has a metro population of nearly one million people. International students are bound to fall in love with this funky, quirky city that celebrates individuality and diversity. Here are some of the most appealing aspects about Tucson.

Weather: Tucson is a desert-town with over 300 days of sunshine. Winter temperatures range from 18-22 degrees Celsius and you’ll find yourself spending the majority of the year outside enjoying our perfect climate.

Adventure: Bike, hike, run, rock climb and more! Surrounded by mountain ranges, Tucson makes for a perfect place to embrace the outdoors. Not a big fan of outdoor activity? Hang a hammock on campus and enjoy the scenery while reading or studying.

Chill: Tucson has a laid-back feel that provides the perfect athmosphere to study. Unwind after class in any of the many coffee or tea shops or jump in a pool at one of the local resorts. With a one million population, Tucson has the amenities of a big city while still offering a quiet, safe place to live.

Culture: Tucson is an inclusive city that celebrates diversity. There are over 120 countries represented on campus, and a variety of events take place throughout the year that help us to embrace our student’s culture as well as the city’s. Tucson Meet Yourself is a food and culture festival all about celebrating difference, and Tucson hosts the largest Dia de los Muertos festival in the United States.

Food: Welcome to food-lovers paradise! As a UNESCO city of Gastronomy, international students will find food from all over the world in Tucson. Just to give you an example, enter campus from Univeristy Boulevard and you'll pass food from the Middle East, India, Japan, Vietnam, Hawaii, and more. And that’s just one street!
