Program Details

• We offer online and face-to-face programs, courses, and lessons that are academic, general, or custom!
• Online classes use a virtual classroom so that we bring school to your home
• Face-to-face classes also use our virtual classroom tool so that you can see your grades and attendance 24/7
• Small-class sizes: 1 teacher to 8 students on average
• All instructors are experienced and highly qualified with Bachelor's degrees or higher
• 13 start dates per year; classes use 4-week sessions
• Classes include access to study hall for additional practice
• Year-round local and overnight activities to help practice English in American culture

TLC Programs

Advanced English

Advanced English is an extension of the Intensive English Program that provides more advanced English skills for students who are seeking admission into undergraduate and graduate programs that require advanced English skills, particularly in reading and writing.  It also serves as a way for university students who have already completed an undergraduate degree to improve their English abilities in order to gain admission into graduate programs of study.

English Test Preparation

English Test Preparation is designed to help students navigate the variety of testing requirements for admission to American universities, such as TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, iTEP, and IELTS tests. Courses cover the following topics: advanced grammar and reading review, test question analysis, test-taking strategies, practice tests, and analysis of test results.

Intensive English

TLC’s academic Intensive English Program is carefully designed to help students prepare for college-level coursework at an American university. Classes include grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Semi-Intensive English

Semi-Intensive English is for students who want to learn English but do not plan to attend a university after completion. It integrates the development of listening and speaking skills, structural accuracy, and everyday communication.

Custom offerings

TLC offers customized programs that you choose, or you can ask TLC to design a custom program to help you achieve your goal. We customize programs all the time, so you are in good hands.

Student Housing

TLC offers homestay and on-campus housing options. Homestays allow you to live with an American family, get a better understanding of the culture, and practice your English after hours. Select TLC centers offer on-campus student housing for a university atmosphere, including university amenities and easy access to class. 

University Partners

TLC has articulation agreements with more than 200 colleges and universities across the United States to help our students transition into higher-education schools. Many partner schools will accept TLC Level 9 Intensive English graduates into their programs in lieu of standardized test results. Once you are nearing completion of our program, we will assist you in selecting the right school for your future and help you with the application process.

The Language Company is committed to high-quality educational programs. For this reason, our schools are accredited by ACCET: Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET.org). TLC has been accredited by ACCET since the year 2000.
