Application Requirements

• International Student Application (all students) or Common Application (Undergraduate Freshmen only)
• Official transcripts (and translations)
• Test of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE-A)
• Graduate applicant tests: GRE or GMAT (required for some programs)
• Letters of recommendation (required for some programs)
• Copy of face page of passport
• Financial support documentation

English Proficiency

A TOEFL-ibt score of 70; IELTS 6.0, SAT EBRW 480 or Pearsons PTE-A 53 or higher is required unless applying to the intensive English program. Conditional admission can be offered to qualified students who apply to the ELS Language Center (see www.els.edu). The ELS program is offered on-site at FDU's Metropolitan Campus. Students whose English proficiency test scores are just below the requirements for direct entry may also qualify for a Pathway Program (see www.fdu.edu/Englishpro).
 

Conditional Admission

Students who do not meet the University's English proficiency requirement may apply for conditional admission through an FDU pathway program (www.fdu.edu/pathways) or through the ELS intensive English program, located at the Metropolitan Campus.

• Conditional admission is available for all bachelor degree programs

Graduate

Scholarships

• Scholarships are offered to international freshmen, transfer and graduate students based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need and are awarded at the time of admission.
• Scholarships up to $30,000 available to qualified freshmen applicants; up to $20,000 for transfer students and up to $10,000 for graduate students
