Coastline's Location

Coastline is located about 35 miles, 22 kilometers south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and only 8 miles, 5 kilometers north of the Orange County (John Wayne) Airport (SNA). The climate is temperate with average temperature of 70 degrees F/21 degrees C year round.

ESL Program: Tailored to meet the needs of non-native speakers who are learning English as a Second Language for educational or occupational advancement, this program allows students to improve their skills in listening, speaking, comprehension, grammar, reading and writing in the English language. Students who wish to enroll in class in the ESL program do not have to take the TOEFL test. Upon completion of this program, students may enter the regular program.

Student Life: Students at Coastline Community College are from many diverse backgrounds; therefore, attending a community college provides an opportunity to make life-long friends from all over the globe and learn about other cultures while earning a college degree. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet and converse with American students while studying in the United States.

The international student advisor is available five days a week to assist you with registration, enrollment, acculturation, and problem solving.

  1. Completed application
  2. Application fee of $55.00
  3. Affidavit of Support
  4. TOEFL score of 500 (paper based), 173 (computer based), or 61 (TOEFL iBT). Students who are enrolling only in the ESL program do not have to have a TOEFL test score
  5. English translation of high school and college/university records
  6. Copies of passport pages (if available)
