Rice University ESL Students Give Thanks for Food and Friends!
Thanksgiving Tales From the Rice University English as a Second Language Blog:
In honor of Thanksgiving, students and faculty of the Rice University Intensive English Program celebrated with a traditional Thanksgiving luncheon, where they feasted on mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing, pies, and turkey!
This year at the event, Rice IEP asked students to share what they are most thankful for by writing it on a fall leaf and hanging it on their Thankful Tree. Some students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to study in the U.S., others wrote how grateful they were for close friends and good health, while many others were thankful for their families.
