NESE is located adjacent to Harvard University in the center of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard Square is a focal point of student activity and one of the most interesting and lively student centers in the United States. NESE is only 100 meters from the train and bus stations and 10 minutes from downtown Boston.​ Because of its outstanding reputation, NESE attracts teachers who hold both undergraduate or advanced degrees from some of the top universities in the US, including Harvard, Yale, and Columbia.​
