Executive Programs: Business English for Professionals at TLA-The Language Academy

Small Classes in a separate suite within the school, high quality Instruction for executives, professionals, and other motivated clients who need to progress quickly through individualized attention, adapting to the goals and pace of the group.

Prior to your arrival:

TLA will send you a pre-course needs analysis form to find out what your goals and objectives for your English Progress is during your time at TLA and to help us to design the right program for you.

During your course:

We  conduct the group courses to balance the needs of all clients in the class and the one-to-one lessons are tailored specifically for you. You will discuss the course content with your teacher and fellow classmates so that you have input into the weekly plan to ensure that you are meeting your objectives.

TLA courses are designed to meet a range of needs and objectives, but will usually include:

Negotiations – sales, promotion and persuasion

Presentations – presenting for internal and external customers

Social Situations –networking, introductions, American and international company communication styles and using the phone and social media

Written communication – reporting and writing

At the end of your course you will receive a TLA Executive Course Certificate and when requested a report and recommendations from your teacher for your future study.

After Class Activities

Outside of the classroom we invite you to participate – along with your classmates and teachers – in a range of social and cultural activities every week, giving you the chance to further improve your skills in a relaxed social environment and to network with like-minded professionals from all across the globe.

One complimentary happy hour networking activity will be offered to you every two weeks.

One to one clients also enjoy a complimentary lunch with their teacher during their course.

Executive Course participants can also take part in the main school activity program which offers a full and varied calendar of afternoon and evening activities.

Typical activities include:

Local theatre and music performances

Meals on Las Olas

Museum and gallery tours

Weekend trips to Key West and the Bahamas

Excursions to The Everglades and the River Boat Tour

Extra available activities:

Golf

Tennis

Yachting

Sailboarding

Scuba

Snorkeling

 

Executive English

You will:

  • Learn in separate small classes (max 5) for  B1-C2 levels
  • Practice general business terminology, idioms and phrases

·         discuss your needs as well as your classmates needs in order for our teacher to plan a program that covers these topics

·         Establish a course plan to help you achieve your objectives

·         Improve your career by making presentations, using critical thinking and problem solving, conducting negotiations and writing professional reports, emails and letters

·         Gain intercultural awareness by interacting with professionals from other countries

12:45 pm - 1:30 pm Lunch

Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage-Cambridge Certificate Course
