This live session features three international graduate students who took the GRE and used it to enter competitive programs at Purdue University and beyond. They’ll share what they wish they had known, what surprised them most, and how the GRE helped shape their academic journey.

  • Juliana Pereira – Ph.D. Student, Geotechnical Engineering, Purdue University

Juliana researches seismic stability of lunar lava tubes and shares how the  GRE supported her entry into a highly competitive engineering program.

  • Alexia R. Hunt – Clinical Research Professional

Alexia took the GRE before earning her master’s degree in Clinical Research Organization & Management. She now works in hematology-oncology research and is excited to share how the GRE supported her entry into specialized healthcare and pharmaceutical fields.

  • Luz María Agudelo Urrego – Ph.D. Student, Civil Engineering, Purdue University

Specializing in computational modeling and finite element analysis, Luz María discusses her test-day experience and GRE prep strategy that helped her get into Purdue’s engineering program.
