After Portland Community College: Maria transferred to Pacific University, completed her bachelor of arts in psychology in spring 2021, and she is currently doing Optional Practical Training (OPT).
“I decided to be an international student at Portland Community College (PCC) because I liked the option of spending two years at college before transferring to a university, and I am so glad I took that decision!
“My time at PCC introduced me to the U.S. educational system and motivated me to learn more about my field of interest: psychology. While I was a student at PCC Rock Creek, I got the opportunity to be involved in student leadership, creating great events for students, and connecting with amazing people. I graduated with my associate's of arts in 2019, but I am still in contact with many friends from the college.”
