Santiago Pedraza Novak, a Junior International Student-Athlete at Regis College, has had his life changed by the amazing opportunities and benefits he has experienced since arriving. Being from Colombia, Santiago sought an American college that would provide him with the opportunity to experience a city full of possibilities while still enjoying the benefits of attending a smaller school than his high school in Florida. After selecting Regis College in Massachusetts, Santiago applied and was accepted.

At Regis College, Santiago is studying Biology on the Pre-medical Health track and is the captain of the men's soccer team representing Regis in their conference. The Global Connections Office at Regis assisted Santiago throughout his application process as an international student from Columbia holding an F1 visa. He also expressed how much he enjoys all the activities offered at this college such as joining clubs or teams, working part-time or full-time jobs, attending events such as sports games, concerts and conferences, participating in volunteer projects, among many others. One of the major advantages for students like Santiago living on campus is the limitless job opportunities available right there without needing to leave or use public transportation.
