Journey as an International Student at Butte College
Insights and Reflections from Mohammed Bilasanadvi
International Student from Tunisia Transfers to Chico State for a Marketing Degree Mohammed Bilasanadvi is an international student from Tunisia who is looking to transfer to Chico State for a marketing degree. Mohammed has been attending Butte Community College for the past few months, and he has quickly fallen in love with the campus and the people there. Mohammed has learned about economics, marketing, accounting, and working with businesses at Butte College. He found a comfortable apartment off Columbus Avenue with roommates who are very understanding. And Mohammed learned that the bus system at Butte College provides convenient transportation to the campus and he has even made friends with some of the drivers.
Mohammed has received invaluable support from his professors who also assisted him with financial aid. While his ultimate goal is to obtain a marketing degree in the US and secure a well-paying job back home, Mohammed has also considered Chico State as a potential transfer option. If you're looking for a college that can provide a welcoming environment, top-notch education, and helpful resources, Butte Community College could be the perfect fit for you.
“As an international student, the prospect of attending college can feel simultaneously thrilling and overwhelming. However, my time at Butte Community College has offered me a unique chance to not only immerse myself in American culture, but also to tackle academic challenges and learn from exceptional professors. Through navigating cultural differences and embracing new experiences, I have gained invaluable insights and knowledge from my time at Butte College. Moreover, I am now well on my way towards achieving my goal of obtaining a marketing degree in the United States, which brings me even closer to realizing my aspirations.” ~ Mohammed Bilasanadvi.
