Meet Kshitiz Mishra: Aiming High
Class of 2023 | Masters in Public Health | Bharatpur, Nepal
Kshitiz Mishra, a recent graduate from Bharatpur, Nepal, graduated in 2023 with a Master's in Public Health (MPH). He valued the real-world experiences gained through his Academic Field Experience (APE), which has equipped him with practical skills in his field.
Kshitiz faced a culture shock when he arrived in the United States, particularly regarding the food. Coming from a place where spicy flavors reign supreme, he found American cuisine to be much milder. However, he has embraced this new culinary landscape and looks forward to sharing his culture with others.
“There are a few reasons I chose ETSU, and the first one is definitely the location. ETSU offers a lot of opportunities for outdoor activities. For fun, my friends and I go hiking at Buffalo Mountain. From the top, you can see all of Johnson City.” —Kshitiz Mishra
Since graduation, Kshitiz has moved to Dallas, Texas to pursue his goal of becoming a dentist. His determination and hard work reflect the ambitious nature of ETSU students.
