Celebrating 40+ Years of International Student Success at Shoreline Community College
A Legacy of Empowering Global Minds through 40+ Years of International Education
Shoreline Community College is a nationally recognised institution that has been welcoming international students for over forty years. A six person advise team is dedicated to helping international students with their studies, immigration and transfer requirements, and they have access to cultural evenings, showcases and clubs as well as personalised advice from the staff members of the International Education Office who travel around the world recruiting them. International students bring with them a wealth of unique perspectives that can benefit other students in a variety of ways.
For example, international students often have a different view of science courses than domestic students. They may see science in a different light and be able to offer other students some valuable insights into how they approach learning. Additionally, their experiences living in different countries can give other students an appreciation for cultures outside of their own. Shoreline alumni have gone onto prestigious four year universities such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, University of Wisconsin Madison and Cornell University – making successful graduates in various fields including one alumni now working for an American Consulate in Vancouver!
It is important for campus personnel to provide these necessary resources needed through high quality services requested by these brilliant minds coming from diverse backgrounds far away places abroad. So if you are looking for an education that will challenge you and open your eyes to new perspectives, then Shoreline Community College may be the perfect place for you!
