Colleges & Universities That Offer Scholarships to International Students: North Carolina, North Dakota, and New Jersey

Jul 15, 2020

Finding the money to attend college or university can be quite a struggle, especially for international students. That’s why it is by far one of the most popular questions on StudyUSA.com: where can I find scholarships for international students? We will be answering that popular question every week by posting schools that offer scholarships to international students.

North Carolina

American Language Academy

The American Language Academy (ALA) does offer a limited number of scholarships to international students. Scholarships are very limited and highly competitive. Students interested in scholarships at the American Language Academy should reach out to the Admissions Office directly as there is no information posted about scholarships on their website.

North Dakota

North Dakota State University

North Dakota State University provides three different international student specific scholarships. The Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship offers undergraduate international students 50 percent off of the non-resident tuition rate, which is nearly a $10,000 saving based on the tuition rate for the 2016-2017 academic year. The Lorraine Murphy Endowed International Fund provides a limited number of one-time scholarships each academic year to international students who display global diversity and intercultural awareness. The Junior Senior Scholarship provides awards to currently enrolled undergraduate international students in their junior or senior year. The scholarship is 100 percent off of the base tuition non-resident rate. For more information about scholarships at North Dakota State University, click here.

New Jersey

Freshman applicants who are eligible can receive a full scholarship to cover tuition. Eligible transfer students may receive up to $16,000 and graduate students may received up to $10,000.
