Education

Radford University was founded in 1910 and is a comprehensive, residential university committed to individualized instruction in medium-sized classes offering high academic standards and excellence in teaching. The University has six undergraduate colleges: the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business and Economics, Education and Human Development, Information Science and Technology, Visual and Performing Arts, and Health and Human Services. Graduate-level programs are also offered through the College of Graduate and Extended Education.

Campus Life

The student enrollment of Radford is over 9,000, and the University is home to students from 48 states and 45 countries. The diverse student body enhances the campus and surrounding area. Fifteen residence halls, housing from 120 to 950 students each, offer a variety of options to the 3,100 students who live on campus. Students live in two-room suites that share one private bathroom. Radford University is committed to providing on-campus housing for all four years of undergraduate study. On-campus housing is provided during breaks for a small fee. Summer housing is also available.

International Students

International Student Services provides a wide range of programs to facilitate the acculturation of international students. A comprehensive International Student Orientation Program; an International Friendship Program, which matches international students with families from the community; International Speakers Bureau; International Coffee Hours; and International Week are all programs conducted for international students. Immigration services, a campus Health Center, a Writing Center, a Math Center and tutors are services available to students.

Application Process

  • Complete the International Application for Admission (you may apply on-line from our homepage)
  • Submit the $30 application fee
  • Submit official transcripts, mark sheets, or diplomas
  • Provide evidence of English proficiency (520 on TOEFL)
  • Provide the financial documentation necessary for the I-20 to be issued
