Admissions InformationStudents from domestic and international colleges and universities are welcome to apply. Applicants should have completed at least two years of university with high academic marks.International Student Application GuidelinesInternational students whose native language is not English, including those applying from a U.S. institution, are required to submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Applicants holding an undergraduate or graduate degree from an academic institution within the United States or another English-speaking country will be exempt from this requirement. Students who wish to improve their English language skills should contact the University of Miami Intensive English Program at 305-284-2752 or www.miami.edu/iep.
International students should submit the following:
Application TimetableAll applications materials for spring programs must be submitted by December 1, 2008. Applications will be accepted as early as September 2008. International students should apply as early as possible in order to apply for a student visa. Applications for the summer Cuban Studies program must be submitted by April 17, 2009.Admission to the Miami Semester does not imply admission to the University of Miami. Students are not eligible to transfer to the University of Miami in the semester following their participation in the Miami Semester.
