Excellent services for international studentsThe beautiful International Student Center is a place for students to have meetings and celebrations. The expert staff members are prepared to help students with questions concerning immigration, travel, work, and cultural adjustment. The ELP has an experienced faculty with advanced degrees and many years of teaching English to international students. There are 4-week, 8-week, and 15-week programs available. Once you arrive, you will be required to take the English Proficiency Test (EPT). You can choose dormitories that are all-male, all-female, or co-ed. Space is available all year for enrolled students, even during holidays and vacations. Most dormitories offer double rooms along with computer rooms, recreational space, and laundry facilities. The room rate includes three meals a day except for Sunday evenings. In the residence halls you can meet American friends, practice your English, and participate in parties and sports. You can choose one-bedroom or two-bedroom units, with or without furniture. There are several play areas and open areas in Jardine for children. The cost of housing and living in Manhattan is very reasonable compared to many U.S. cities. Manhattan has a four-season climate, with wonderful, mild springs, hot summers, cool and colorful autumns, and cold winters with some snow. Manhattan has many public parks and tennis courts, a zoo, a regional shopping mall, international food stores, and public golf courses.
