English Language ProgramThe Intensive English Language Program is designed to give international students the strong English communication skills necessary for success in college. The language program is for students who score lower than 500/173 on an official TOEFL. After successfully completing our English program, international students meet the English proficiency requirement for admission into Green River's academic programs.

Academic education at Green River provides students with the first two years of their four-year degree at a low cost. Students take general courses in English, math, humanities, science, social science, creative arts, physical education and electives to build a foundation for their bachelor's degree. Degrees and CertificatesTwo-year Associate in Arts and Associate of Science Degrees, as well as shorter certificates can be taken alone or in some cases added to a university transfer program. Programs include: Information Technology, Aviation, Broadcasting, International Business, Speech Communication and many more. After successful completion of a program (minimum nine months), students have the option to apply for a job and work in the US (for pay) for up to a maximum of one year while on their F-1 Student Visa. This option is called Optional Practical Training.Comprehensive, Personal ServiceWell-trained and dedicated International Programs staff provides comprehensive, personal services for international students. For FunTo enhance your college experience at Green River, our full-time International Student Activities Coordinator and Student Programs Department encourage you to get involved in a variety of on-campus activities. We also provide opportunities to experience the scenic Pacific Northwest through hiking, skiing, snow boarding, as well as visiting museums, theaters and music festivals. During vacation times, we offer trips to popular tourist destinations such as Hawaii and Whistler ski resort in Vancouver, Canada.
High Tech HighlightsTo assist students in their studies, Green River's library has more than 100 computers, CD-ROM, Microsoft Office system, Internet access, Photoshop, Scanners, and a 56-drive CD ROM tower system holding additional electronic reference databases. We also have a new Technology Center with computer labs and wireless capabilities.
How to ApplyInternational students can apply for the fall (September), winter (January), spring (April), or summer (June) session.
