Conditional Admission: Boise State University requires a TOEFL score of 500(PBT) / 173(CBT) / 46(iBT) for undergraduate admission. Students who have been enrolled for at least one eight-week session in Boise State's Intensive English Program, and have a TOEFL score above 450(PBT) / 133(CBT), may qualify for conditional admission. In this case, based on recommendation by the IEP staff, students may enroll in up to 7 credit hours of courses while continuing to study part-time in the IEP.
Intensive English Program (IEP)Boise State University offers an Intensive English Program. The program is offered in two eight-week sessions during each spring and fall term, and two four-week sessions during summer. Students are placed in courses at their proficiency level, where they learn in a safe and confidence-building environment.
